Fly On Your Own Wings

I wrote this song as a reminder to myself to set my kid free. Parents tend to turn their children into trophies or second chances, but this song is my promise to step back. I’m just the lighthouse, not the captain—he needs to steer his own ship, make his own noise, and map his own sky.
